At the 1st mAAN international conference in Macau in 2001, a Declaration was proclaimed to set up the direction of mAAN. At mAAN's 2nd conference in 2002 in Singapore, we attempted to discuss a wide range of issues including theory, inventory, practice, and networking. The 3rd conference was held in Surabaya, Indonesia in 2003 after the historical gathering of mAAN, UNESCO, and DOCOMOMO in Chandigarh earlier that same year. mAAN dares to dream and will always strive to turn its dreams into reality through reflection, innovation, and cooperation.
